Fire and brimstone raining down,
People dying all around,
Bitter cursing, growing gloom,
Stubborn mankind meets its doom.
Dying seas and rotting fish,
Can't escape it; only wish
An ending or a morning star
But hope has fled to somewhere far.
Note: Why do I think about such things and write about such negative things? Because they are in the Bible. There are wonderful promises in Jesus, but also serious warnings for those who reject him.
The first angel blew his trumpet, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and these were thrown upon the earth. And a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
