Solomon Died - Christian Poem

Solomon's wealth was un-excelled,
His wisdom's depth unparalleled,
And yet he died as all men die.
Down in the graves the bodies lie.

All of our wisdom, all our wealth,
All of our emphasis on health
Can't interrupt the speeding clock;
Can't turn away dark death's door-knock.

And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father.

This quite vividly reminds me of a poem that I had once read in my 7th grade from an anthology, which spoke of a king and a pauper both being laid to rest under the same ground.

Ironical that the deeds of all men are reduced to the same dust.

Thanks for having commented on my blog.I would really like you to read my other posts as well and keep coming back to it.

One more thing.Is your book,by any chance,available outside the US?

Hello, Niharika.

Yes, I'd gladly ship a copy of the book to another country. Just pay via PayPal; if the actual cost is higher than what you pay, I can let you know after shipping. Note that the PayPal price is in US dollars, and that it may (or may not) show a payment address of vidanuevatx which is at netscape.net. I'd ship by the cheapest means, unless you make prior arrangements otherwise. The book is for children. It's about size 5.5 x 8.5 inches, which I think is about 14 x 22 cm. It's printed on very heavy, slick paper; is stapled.
