Saved from Wrath

From Blog08

Under wrath, condemned to death,
Dying with our ev'ry breath,
We were hateful, full of sin;
Fetid filth both out and in.
We had nothing to commend us;
We had no-one to defend us.
Though we claimed that all was well,
We were heading down to hell
When our savior intervened,
Paid our debt and washed and cleaned--
Dipped us in the purging flood
That came from his very blood;
Made us new, his holy bride;
Choice and welcome at his side.

Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
--Romans 5:9, ESV

I agree. It is a good poem. I recently looked at your Blog 08 pictures. I really like several of them.

Thank you for your comment on HIS STAR. I was very confused by what Mr. O'Neal was saying. I looked up the article about this person emerging, etc... and I don't think I have ever heard of this teaching. His comments were actually confusing to me, as well. Is he someone that has commented on blogs that you visit? I didn't recognize his name.

Thanks, Myra.

In the comment on your blog, Mr. O'Neill was advocating a false Messiah. He said this person has been living in London; has appeared in 1982 in Kenya, and will appear again "very soon." He said this person is the Christ, the Messiah, and also the Buddha.

By contrast, here's how Jesus described his own return--the return that we're waiting for:

Mat 24:23-31 GW "At that time don't believe anyone who tells you, 'Here is the Messiah!' or 'There he is!' 24 False messiahs and false prophets will appear. They will work spectacular, miraculous signs and do wonderful things to deceive, if possible, even those whom God has chosen. 25 Listen! I've told you this before it happens. 26 So if someone tells you, 'He's in the desert!' don't go out looking for him. And don't believe anyone who says, 'He's in a secret place!' 27 The Son of Man will come again just as lightning flashes from east to west. 28 Vultures will gather wherever there is a dead body. 29 "Immediately after the misery of those days, the sun will turn dark, the moon will not give light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the universe will be shaken. 30 "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. All the people on earth will cry in agony when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds in the sky with power and great glory. 31 He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and from every direction under the sky, they will gather those whom God has chosen..."
