Rainy Night

From Blog09

It's raining--
    not a delicate, misty rain,
    but thousands of gallons
    sloshing and plopping
    with lightening and thunder.
Dry land's dry no more.
All is watered, wonderfully washed
by wave on wave of driving rain.
Wash us, too, Lord--
    softening parched hearts
    insistently, relentlessly
until we flow with your Holy Spirit.

...he saved us, but not because of anything we had done to gain his approval. Instead, because of his mercy he saved us through the washing in which the Holy Spirit gives us new birth and renewal.
--Titus 3:5, God's Word translation

Eti kai eti… Again and again, brother, let us pray to the Lord, for He is good. Another great poem. Thank you.
