The Shadow of a Cross

From Blog09

The shadow of a cross
On one Judean hill;
A grave without a corpse,
But with the grave-clothes still...

A rising to the skies
From yet another hill,
While good men, all wide-eyed,
Are left there standing still...

My blood-guilt is now gone,
While I am standing still
And shine and sing of grace,
A beacon on a hill.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us--for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"...
--Galatians 3:13, ESV

So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
--Romans 6:11, ESV
