He Feeds Us

From Blog09

Lord, you provide for the bees and me,
Food for our living each day,
Strengthening us though we may not see
How you've sustained all our way.

And he brought us into this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
--Deuteronomy 26:9

Note: I'd taken this photo about a week ago. The poem was inspired by the post on Myra's blog about a similar photo.

Wow! both green bees! I don't normally see green bees. It is really cool that we both saw them.

We have a beloved dog, a tri colored beagle who is 18 and a half years old. I think he is dying. He won't eat and he won't drink. I have been giving him water or milk with a children's medicine dispenser. He loves me greatly, and I love him. It's hard to let go of a friend. God has sustained him beyond what beagles normally live. He has increased my blessing by allowing him more time.

Thank you for encouraging me in Picture My Thoughts.

Myra, I don't normally see them in green, either.

Thanks for sharing about the dog. I think of the line in Proverbs 12:10, "Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel." May the Lord comfort you in this. I know we'd miss our 15-year-old cat. He's starting to act older.
