Pray for a Child

Pray for my young friend Mason. He's about 8 years old, cheerful, and not expected to live out the spring. He has a brain tumor. He already received the

Pray for Mason's family as they deal with this situation.

Meanwhile, I'm confident that most of you who read this blog have been praying for the millions of people who are suffering in Haiti.

Thank you, my unknown reader, for your concern for those of us who know this child.

Your comment almost certainly came with the best of intentions, but it reflects some of what is not a good idea in such situations.
1. Saying "Don't worry all will be fine" with no reason for such a statement is sort of like telling people falling out of an airplane not to worry.
2. Passing on discouraging medical research is not always helpful.
