Simple faith of bygone years--
Plain as prairies, strong as oaks,
Calls for hope in place of fears:
Trusting God and loving folks.
Lord, renew us in that way--
Walking straight as taut fence line,
With our spirits day by day
Resting in your strength divine.
But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.
