All the things I think I must /
Accumulate may turn to rust. /
Earthly goods--all mine today-- /
Flood or fire may sweep away, /
Leaving me a refugee, /
Homeless, wrapped in misery. /
But the things I give away /
Store my wealth for God's great Day. /
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
--Matthew 6:19-20, ESV
