Ready...a song

From Blog10

Ready...I'm ready...I'm ready to leave!
No bags to pack and no losses to grieve.
The archangel's voice will announce it at first;
Tombs of the holy will all start to burst.
I'll be caught up in the blink of an eye,
Rise to meet Jesus 'way up in the sky--
Up where he's hidden by glory and cloud,
Up with raised saints who'll be singing out loud,
Loud as the trumpet that called them from death,
Praising the Lord with each new-given breath.
Always with Jesus--Oh, can you believe?!
That's why I'm ready. I'm ready to leave.

For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
--1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, ESV

Note: To be ready means we're seeking purity; means we're looking for the coming of Jesus; we're trusting Jesus. I don't claim to have any purity of my own, but he's changing me.
