The armadillo wears his armor
Everywhere he goes.
He's prepared for far more
Danger than he knows.

We've been given armor, too--
Shield and belt and sword
That can keep us safe and true:
Armor from the Lord.

We'll be ready when the fight
Hits us hard and sore
If we wear it day and night--
Soldiers fit for war.
