Thunderstorm

From Blog10

A hint of chill...
The air grew still.
The storm approached
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

The sky grew dark,
The birds rushed home.
The storm approached
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

The bass drums played.
The lions came.
The storm approached
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

The lightening flashed
The cymbals crashed.
The storm came near
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

The chorus danced...
The rain-sheets pranced.
The storm was here
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

The curtain rose--
Rain more composed.
The storm was past
With a rumble and a grumble and a roar.

As I'm typing this, the last rumbles of thunder are fading away.

The Lord thundered from heaven,
and the Most High uttered his voice.
