Yesterday's Toys

From Blog10

Yesterday's toys
Hint of the dreams
Children once had.
"I'll be a nurse."
"I'll fight big fires."
"I'll be a wife."
Farmer or nun,
Each had a dream
So long ago.
Did they succeed?
I'll never know.
I just see toys,
All in a row.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
(1 Corinthians 13:11 ESV)
