Frozen Fountain

From Blog11

The fountain wears its icy wedding dress
In frozen flounces.
      Stilled motion,
      No emotion...
Waiting through the longest night
For the fiery kiss of morning sun.

By the breath of God ice is given,
and the broad waters are frozen fast.

Lovely writing, Jim.

'Waiting through the longest night
For the fiery kiss of morning sun.'

Great imagery.

Thank you for visiting and commenting on my blog. Good to meet another poet. :-)

Thanks, Paul Andrew. Imagery isn't my great strength as a poet, but sometimes I accidentally get it right. :-)

neat capture...and verse as well...to me it also rings of submission and knowing there is hope in the end...

Brian Miller, I like your idea. So long as we're submitting to the Lord, there's always solid hope.

Hi Jim, beautiful writing! Can you send me an email please? mac@macgarcia.com I saw a picture of the church steeple you took in the day I would like to use for the newsletter. Could I use it? I don't have facebook anymore and it took me a while to find you:)
