The Kingdom Comes

The kingdom comes in silent ways
Through changes in the heart,
So someone starts to live his days
As holy, set apart.

The kingdom comes in public ways
When demon powers are foiled
And godly courage runs and slays
The things that killed and soiled.

The king will come--Grand end of days,
Full righteousness begun--
And all the dead he'll simply raise.
Eternity will run.

    Pray then like this:
    “Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name.
    Your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

(Matthew 6:9-10 ESV)

Hope it's soon. II Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." Looking around morals definitely seem to be deteriorating.

I like the rhythm of this poem as well as the words, amen!
