The Prairie

From Blog12

The rolling prairie's sectioned now,
Sliced in squares like cake
By county roads.
Cell phone towers are the candles.
Sprinkles of candy houses
Are nested on pistachio frosting,
While underneath is still
The deep chocolate soil.

For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land.

(Haggai 2:6, ESV)

I love the poem. it brings to light the true beauty of what many would only see as a dismal horizon.
Thanks for sharing.

dfish, glad you liked the photo. It was frozen, foggy morning just north of Vandalia, Illinois.
Unknown, thanks.
