Three Days

When Jesus died--
   Black, holy day
And hellish like none else--
My every sin
   Upon him lay.
He took it on himself.

When Jesus rose--
   Bright, holy day
With glory straight from heaven--
It showed my sin
   Was done away.
Forgiveness had been given.

When Jesus comes--
   Great, final day--
The dead in Christ will rise
All free from sin,
   All light, no gray,
Himself their light, their prize.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree,
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.
By his wounds you have been healed.

(1 Peter 2:24 ESV)

A wonderful poem — nice, simple, straight forward, and true.

As we say in Greek, 'Beautiful Resurrection!' and my best wishes to you on this Lord's Day of eternal Life, the Lord's Passover, Pascha.

Romanós, thank you, and may the Lord give you joy day by day in our risen Lord.

Great poem and thank God for making it such a wonderful truth. My sin is gone and my resurrection is sure because he died and was resurrected. As Zim said, it is beautiful.

dfish, thanks. There's no way we can adequately express appreciation for what the Lord has done for us.
