Brave, Strong, Wise

Be brave, my friend, be brave.
The devil is afraid
Of what the Lord can do
Through simple souls like you.

Be strong, my friend, be strong.
The Lord can give the song
Of victories still told
When grandchildren are old.

Be wise, my friend, be wise.
The Lord will give the prize
That can't be stolen, cannot rust
If Jesus is your trust.

So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future--all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.(1 Corinthians 3:21-23 ESV)

Bonus thought: Jesus is our supreme example of bravery. He was willing to risk the displeasure of his mother, of his brothers, of the crowds, of his disciples, in order to obey his Father. He was willing to walk directly toward cruel torture and death.

Amen, Jim. It's about who our Goid is, not who people think we are.

So true. We don't have to be nearly as brave as He did, but if we try, He will strengthen us and lend us some of His infinite wisdom. Carry on!
